Joe’s work experience covers a span of almost 40 years in the industrial and automotive sectors mostly in leadership positions including plant manager, division manager, and division president. This includes stints with General Motors, General Electric, Cummins Engine Company, Wyman Gordon, and Kaiser Aluminum. Manufacturing process experiences included casting, forging, fabrication, machining and assembly. Five of these years were spent starting up a facility in Brazil, SA. He has also traveled extensively internationally as part of his other operating duties.

Joe commenced working with lean processes in the early 80’s in his operations management roles. He began consulting in lean practices full time in 1998, working with Growth Consulting (now Step 3 Consulting), Inc and Simpler Consulting, Inc. Joe began his relationship with the NWIRC in mid-2006.

Formal education includes a BSEE from GMI in Flint Michigan and an MBA from Penn State.
