NWIRC is one of over 60 centers nationwide dedicated to providing assistance to manufacturers. The nationwide network of resources is part of the Hollings Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP), which is operated by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) under the Department of Commerce. The work done by these Centers is transforming manufacturers to compete globally, supporting greater supply chain integration, and providing access to technology for improved productivity.
