The Manufacturers Growth Conference, presented by Northwest Industrial Resource Center, will be the topic on this weekend’s The Insider. The show, airing on WICU and WSEE, is hosted by Lisa Adams and each week takes a closer look at what is happening in the region. Yesterday was the taping for the show featuring a few of the speakers planned for the conference, including Bob Zaruta, NWIRC President; Michael Griffith, NWIRC Manufacturing Technology Engineer; and Attorney, Robert Zaruta, who practices employment and labor law at the Know Law Firm.
“The conference has the theme of ‘growing people and growing revenue,” said NWIRC’s Zaruta. “We wanted to focus the content on some of the issues and roadblocks our regional manufacturers are facing.” The three show guests spoke to Adams about just a few of the topics, including: finding new markets and customers; strategies for increasing sales; preserve and transfer years of knowledge from a retiring employee to the new generation of workers; and how the Trump Administration policies can potentially impact employees and business.
The show will air on WICU 12 this Sunday at 11 a.m., after NBC’s Meet the Press and on WSEE, Saturday at 12:30 p.m. and Sunday at 7 a.m.
The Manufacturers Growth Conference will be held in St Marys (May 17) and Erie (May 18), both are from 7:30am-4:00pm with a cost of $75. The conference is sponsored by PNC, Knox Law, and Ben Franklin Technology Partners. Visit the NWIRC event schedule for more details and to register.
