The upcoming Manufacturers Growth Conference, hosted by Northwest Industrial Resource Center (NWIRC), will feature best practices and challenges for manufacturers looking to diversify into new markets and find new customers. One of the featured speakers will include Susan Mayer, Innovation Advisor for RTI International. Her presentation will focus on the proven methodologies of Technology Driven Market Intelligence (TDMI) and Technology Scouting (TS). TDMI is a structured and focused approach to market intelligence which considers the benefits and market impacts related to a specific technology-based asset. Technology Scouting is an approach to searching outside your company’s normal channels to find viable solutions to your specific technology needs. These concepts will be explained, to include how companies can use to grow their business.
Mayer has over 25 years of experience in food industry manufacturing, product development management, and quality systems. She partners with the PA, DE, and NJ Manufacturing Extension Partnerships to provide innovation services and is a trainer for TDMI and TS. As an Innovation Advisor, she leads a wide range of technology projects for food and consumer goods companies. Sue holds a BS and MS in Food Science from the University of Maryland, and is a Certified Food Scientist.
The Manufacturers Growth Conference will be held in St Marys (May 17) and Erie (May 18) from 7:30am-4:00pm.
