Manufacturers of diverse specialties, company sizes, and locations turned out in St Mary’s, PA yesterday for the Intek Systems’ Demo Expo. This type of trade show was unique to the area in that participants had access to nearly 20 exhibitors demonstrating technology solutions to help manufacturing facilities become more efficient and competitive. Innovations on display included collaborative robots, machine safety, and energy saving solutions.
Tom Weible, of the Northwest Industrial Resource Center (NWIRC) was on hand to discuss the benefits of NWIRC services to improve a company’s productivity and technological performance. Michael Griffith, Manufacturing Technology Engineer at NWIRC, was a featured speaker on the topic of Accelerating Technology Development. Other presentation topics included Collaborative Robots, Integration of Robots, Optimizing Vacuum Systems, Machine Vision, and others.
Participants from the area included owners, presidents, engineers, quality mangers, maintenance supervisors, and shop floor machine specialists. “This type of program is great.
